I bought this plush as part as a small Nintendo collection of mine, and I can say this is definitively one of the most well crafted ones in the Mario series. It’s not too big but it’s not tiny either. It is about 5″ including the tongue and all the stitching holds it firmly together. It has a small tail in the back unseen in most pictures and it’s material is very soft. Inside the lower back part is a beanie bag and the mouth has space inside it, so you can even fold the tongue back in or put other stuff inside it. As for educational value, it’s coloring is very bright and well defined, so can be easily used to point out colors. Overall a very good design. If you liked it in the games prepare to feel as if it has popped out the TV to scare you personally .

My son adores his plush Mario toys. He displays them and also plays with them. This guy is very cute and soft. You can stuff his tongue into his mouth and squeeze him to pop it out, which always gets a giggle from my 10 year old son.

From Tounge to Tail, maybe.., December 29, 2010

Fun item, but the 5″ is a stretch. Perhaps 5″ if you stretch out the tongue and measure from it to the tail. Cute, but small for the price.
