Durability: Fun: Educational: 

We bought this toy for my daughter for her 5th birthday, as she was begging for it non-stop. She was jumping of joy when actually got it. She loves it without reservations, cuddles with it, brushes its mane and decorates it with bows…It is made of soft material, outside as well as inside, it is really fun to hold.

I am pleased for she loves it very much, but as a parent I have some issues with it:

- the mane is made of some fluffy stuff that comes off in bunches, like a cat’s or dog’s hair and all over the apartment. When you lay on it it goes into your mouth, nose etc, very irritating. I am terribly tempted to “trim” the mane and the tail so it would be more confy.

- the velcro has a covering fabric, that is good, but the cover opens from the other side that makes it inconvenient to make the pillow into a pet, she was practicing a few times while she got it right. If the cover fabric would be opening on the other side, it would make it much more convenient.

All-in-all, it is a nice toy to have, though I still consider it a bit pricey.

Great Pillow Pet!, June 15, 2011

This toy was purchased for a four year old girl and it is a favorite toy of hers…The colors are vibrant and WAY better than the pale purple and pale pink unicorn pillow pet that she also has from the store….The only issue is there is a separation of the material in one of the legs/hoofs attached to the underside of the body that I noticed in the first week…not a big deal to fix but I don’t think she is particularly rough with toys..so be aware it may be a little fragile…also I noted that it has (fake) hair for the mane and tail while some other pillow pets have hairy fabric…this hair will shed more and probably not hold up as well…however I do think this also provides more visual appeal to this pillow pet as well….as far as educational value this was purchased as a play pillow and we don’t use it for educational use particularly but if you are creative enough you probably could lol.

Unicorn Pillow Pet – Great Fun for Daughter (10 yrs), April 23, 2011

Durability: Fun: Educational: 

This is was gift for my daughter, age 10. The product was a big hit – she loves using it as a pillow almost nightly, and wants to take it everywhere (surprising since she wasn’t big on security blankets or animals). The outside is quite soft and plush, too! Very happy with this product.
