A Real Winner, May 5, 2005

My daughter received this toy for her 1st birthday and we have gotten hours of enjoyment from it. Almost 2 months later she knows the name of each toy hidden inside the elephant and will fish inside for the appropriate item when asked where it (ball, little elephant, mouse, flower or peanuts) is. She then will present different people with her “finds.” She’s taken to hiding other toys inside the elephant also. It’s easy to take along on visits. Just a great toy.

Fun toy for our 14 mo. grandson. I continually put different things inside and he loves pulling them out always finding a different surprise. The little items that come with the toy are really nice and sized perfectly for little hands.

I gave this to my 19-month-old neice as a Christmas gift, and she immediately wanted to play with it. She loves taking out and putting in all of the pieces, which are easy for her to grasp and manipulate. A wonderful toy!

Good for little hands to explore, October 28, 2010

Our one-year-old granddaughter likes this toy although she is perhaps a bit young for it. She cannot operate any of the functions yet, but she loves to pull on the shoestrings (don’t worry, they are short and firmly attached!) and fiddle with the buttons, snaps, and zippers. She can also just hold it as a doll.

I don’t worry much about the so-called educational value of toys, because I believe children are learning “machines” and just giving them fun, interesting toys and making them part of everyday living is the best education. This toy is bright and interactive, and I am so thankful that it doesn’t talk, buzz, sing the alphabet, light up, or have buttons to push that call out numbers. Most of the toys now make you feel like you’re living on a carnival midway.

Frustrating!, December 25, 2010

I purchased this for my 4 1/2 year-old daughter to help with fine motor and shoe tying skills. Once the clothes come off, they are very difficult to put back on because the paws are so much larger than the openings to the sleeves and shoes. I have help her shove them in. The button hole on the front is too small for the button to fit through, so I had to cut it open wider -compromising the fabric. I am sure it will rip wide open after a few uses. The seam at the seat of the cat is not properly stitched and will need mending. Also, this may be just me, but the cat has no pants or underwear. In my opinion learning to dress involves underwear! The cat looks adorable, but not a good buy for purposes of learning.

Poor quality, December 6, 2010

I bought one of these and the snap broke before I even got it home. I traded for another one. The same snap broke on first use. Also, the button hole in the flower is too small to come off the button, and the blue ribbon that holds the button on is sewn incorrectly, holding the button in place. The toy would be fun and educational if it stayed together long enough to get it to the child.

I bought this little monkey because a friend had one and I thought it was so cute. It advertises that the monkey’s mouth moves and he rolls on the floor laughing. Well The monkeys mouth does not move (as my friend’s did) and the laugh was extremely creepy. It had an echo and sounded like one of those witches you hang over your door at halloween. I would not recommend this toy from this particular seller. Really look into what you are buying.

This product was as promised. Be careful when you purchase that you have a large area to place the product. If you place it in a small room, it will constantly go off and become annoying. However, the cat loves this product!

I ordered this for a Christmas gift. It was more of a joke than an actual toy. It got lots of laughs Christmas morning, but really haven’t seen it since.
